Residential Care Programs

KARINGAL GARDENS (high) and BUSHLAND PLACE HOSTEL/BANYULA LODGE RESIDENTS (low)

Residents at Karingal Gardens, Bushland Place Hostel and Banyula Lodge are provided care on the basis of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).

The variations in care range from the most dependent residents to the least dependent. Residents are re-classified if their care needs increase. The ACFI is a formal document provided by the Department of Health and Ageing for funding purposes, the actual classification is based on an assessment carried out by the facility staff and then submitted to the Department.
